So they're not taking questions directly from citizens who show up to speak with them? Seems as though there should be an opportunity to "step right up to the microphone" and ask a question.

Are they afraid somebody might ask a hard question?

The host(s) of the Forum set the rules, not the candidates. Got issues? Try contacting them.

And apparently you also missed the part where it says, "Residents can enjoy this event and an opportunity to personally meet and discuss concerns with the candidates following the Forum."

And the purpose of taking the questions NOT LIVE, I think, might be to keep people from asking hard questions. Or, anyway, controlling the questions. It's unfortunate, I think that it's done that way. It's their forum they can handle it the way they want. I just think it's not as good as it could be. That's all.

We can do that by calling them on the phone- or contacting them in person- anytime. The idea of asking them in front of others would be to get them on the record. That's it. That's all. Simple.

Thanks for writing. So few do.

You should be on public access television.

You must have not been there.

At least it didn't seem all that festive a gathering to me.

Speaking only about FORM, not substance, not issues, here...I think it would be a slam dunk to say that Barbian is the best speaker of the three. Or at least he was the best during this forum. That's only one person's opinion, but I'm willing to say that I'd be surprised if less than 95 percent of attendees disagreed with that opinion.
