I took some out of town friends to Wegner's St. Martins Inn
for lunch last Friday and it was spectacular, as usual. For my friends this was a first time visit and for a couple of them, it was their first Wisconsin fish fry. They all loved it.
The beer battered haddock is so perfectly cooked, with big filets of fish, the subtle taste of beer in the batter and most importantly it's not greasy. Potato pancakes are my fave, but the fries are good as well. One of my friends also had her first Brandy Old Fashioned Sweet and loved it.
It was a great relaxing time. I know that at night it gets super busy but we were able to sit and talk for a couple hours.
