With Mother Nature not always following the schedule of DPW when it comes to leaf pick-up, or vise-versa, how do you dispose of your leaves?

There are a few houses that just put out leaves, how brain-less is that? :geek:

Yeah, I saw some putting leaves out last weekend. I hope they are ticketed. If you miss the deadline, it doesn't take much effort does it take to check the Village's web site, or give them a call.

Last year the DPW had to extend the pickup week. Just give them a call.

They already extended it. The leaves in question have been put out after the extension.

I had no idea they extended the pick up this year.
If its going to happen year after year, why not just make the official last week later.

The thing is, every year it seems like the leaves fall at different times. Don't know if it depends on how much rain we get or what. A neighbors willow tree still has alot of leaves on it. But with the snow we got guess the leaves will just have to stay there till spring, right?

i just read that the leaves change colors and fall due to lack of sunlight. The shortened daylight hours is the culprit.

Yup, last pickup extension was November 17. It was discussed in this thread http://greendaleoriginals.com/bboard/vi ... .php?t=684

To save tax $$$ (which a conservative such as yourself should appreciate) they try to keep it to two weeks. But Mother Nature seems to have other ideas.
