Well I decided it was time to measure the cornstalks that grew from the hybrid seeds planted in the Spring and lovingly nurtured all Summer long. So I hauled out the ladder, set it up and climbed to the top, only to find it that the ladder wasn't near tall enough. While at a loss for what to do next, I noticed that the stalk itself looked quite sturdy, so I grabbed a small snack and the ruler and started to climb. Things went well at first, but I found myself stopping to rest more and more often as the air got thinner and thinner. Then at last, when I was finally nearing the top, I began to hear a low rumble, which eventually became a clear: "Fee-fie-foe-fum I smell the bl---. " I am not sure what came next because I was out of there, down that stalk, and back to solid ground as fast as possible. My Momma didn't raise no fools. Somebody else will have to do the measuring and I will just take their word for the results.
Not braggin', just sayin'.
Ya know, Potato...you could use shadows and a little trigonometry to get that 'stalk measured.
Also, did you wash your hands thoroughly after handling those seeds?Did you read the warning on that envelope?
