According to the Greendale Fire Department's web site, there were six alarm boxes located within the Village that would activate the siren on the fire station to call the volunteers to the station. I know one was on the northwest corner of Basswood and Northway. Where were the other five?

One was in the side yard of the house on the northwest corner of Conifer and Dale Lane.

The fire boxes were mounted next to telephone manholes.

From my limited recall NW corner of Conifer and Dale, SE corner of Catalpa and Clover, SW corner of Clover and Catalpa and Angle and Northway

One really dumb question: wouldn't having them on the SE corner of Catalpa and Clover, and the SW corner of Clover and Catalpa be kind of close? As in, right across the street from each other?

But now for the other reason I asked (aside from my own curiosity). I thought it might be kind of neat to include these on a map of historical places in Greendale I'm working on. One would think that since doing this is free on Google, the Historical Society would have done something like this by now. Since they haven't, I opted to do one.

Take a look at it here.

It is not complete (one has to start somewhere) and what I've marked so far has been done from what I've read, saw, and have verified talking to a original residents. Constructive criticism, corrections and additions would be appreciated.
