I thought that there would be some predictions going on here.

I'll make one.

Walker will win.

By >8%

(Kind of a tepid prediction, I realize.)

Be well.

GO VOTE!

Unfortunately I have to somewhat agree with you... but will lower it to 7%.

And if that's the case, the MU incomplete will do to the state what he did to the County... drive it towards bankruptcy. :?

Based on his stumbling downer of an acceptance speech ("I see a lot of long faces out there, I'll try to end on an up note.") I predict Ron Johnson will quickly demonstrate his inability to handle Washington DC politics (up until this year, he had never visited Washington DC).

I predict Scott Walker will increase the deficit by handing out billions in corporate welfare ("The State is Open for Business") and tax cuts for the wealthy (to reward those who put him there). :error:

Here comes the first round of the corporate cry of "We're cutting jobs/leaving Wisconsin" unless we get tax incentives, wink wink: Kohler cutting 750 jobs, including 350 in Kohler.

The corporations will be climbing all over themselves looking for tax breaks from Walker just to stay here and reduce wages.

If this wouldn't be sad for those cut, it would be funny. Seems fellow Repuppet Kohler just gave his man a :blackeye:!

Standard of living will drop with Scotty the Dropout in control.

Now if we could only get Walker and Johnson to feel safe playing on railroad tracks...

Scott had a press conference yesterday and apparently his first priority is to hire a team of lawyers to stop the funding for the high speed rail. His campaign promise was to create 250,000 jobs - does 5 or 10 lawyers charging $500 per hour each count?

Ron Johnson doesn't even know what a train is. Oshkosh is full of planes, military vehicles and his fleet of limousines.

More of the same, you're saying?

It's starting already...I excerpt salient paragraphs from a newspaper story.

From the Milwaukee Post on 7 November, 2010 page 17:

Quad/Graphics to add 1,300 jobs in state.

State gives company $46 million in tax credits

By Joe Petrie
Conley News Service

Quad/Graphics announced Oct 28 it will add 1,300 jobs in Wisconsin and will retain 5,500 jobs here with the help of $46 million in tax credits.
...
Gov. Jim Doyle visited Quad/Graphics on Oct. 28 as part of the announcement. Doyle said credits are similar to those given to:
Mercury Marine
Harley-Davidson
Oshkosh Truck and
Marinette Marine
in order to expand companies and create new positions in the state.

jpetrie@conleynet.com

[By he way, where can we read about that fleet of limos that Johnson has? I haven't seen that anywhere but this forum.]

[Also by the way, the Milwaukee Post is free and delivered by the USPS on Saturdays.]

Oh yes, by the way, as I've said before, corporations don't pay taxes, people pay taxes. Corporations just charge more for their product or service and then give the money to government.

Um, sorry Smith, but this was announced BEFORE Waffling Walker was elected. Last a time I looked at a calendar, October 28 came before November 2. These are Democratic retained jobs.

You can add Kohler, Aurora Healthcare, and possibly Spancrete to the list of those cutting jobs since Waffling Walker was elected.

A little sarcasm regarding the train issue. A stereotype of the wealthy business owner, and I'm guessing he's seen a train or two in his life (maybe when he finally visited Washington DC this year?).
