Today I drove the former Reiman Publications lot - now the Goodwill Building and there were crews cutting down all the trees and bushes in the parking lot area. Perfectly fine pine and leaf trees were cut down and thrown into a mulch grinder. I'm guessing that the perimeter trees and plants are next? Where is the Village on this? Why does Goodwill need to hack down all these trees and bushes? Does Reiman like this? Oh wait, he likes putting silly hats on Norman Rockwell, so what does he care?

Before jumping to conclusions, maybe Goodwill is redoing the parking lot and landscaping. Did that ever cross your mind? And if not, its their property; they can do whatever they want.

I'll take a peek on the back wall at Village Hall when I'm there for the meeting on the hose tower Tuesday night to see if they have any new plans for the building. In many communities a landscaping plan has to be submitted for any changes at a commercial property. I believe both Walmart and Macy's presented them when they submitted their plans.

Oh, as for Grad's comments... he only visits periodically, and probably thought your post was one of mine. :laughing7: :laughing8:

Actually NBJoe, I was well aware the post was not yours.

And as for my visits, I visit my family every two months. But stay up-to-date with Greendale happenings through the use of the Greendale website, this forum and news from friends and family.

Goodwill has really done a clear-cut of the wonderful trees and so on, leaving few - if any on the western edge of the campus. Chop chop, who needs beautiful trees in GREENdale? There goes our Arbor Day award. (Ugly) Maybe the veterans committee should plant their flags here.
