The rusty one is new... From Southway and Loomis, the newer one looks a bit taller than the old one. This photo, not so much.

Greendale hasn't gotten larger so the need for water isn't increasing but since the Village has been declared a National Historic Landmark, shouldn't the new water tower be historically accurate?

Not sure if you know this but the new water tower has a greater capacity then the old one. And the two smaller water tanks off of 60th will be no longer used. Therefore once this new tower is completed and painted it will be the only one in use.
